Transformed from a stained warehouse space to an eclectic art and music hub in Cleveland, Ohio, Survival Kit has ushered talent within the region as well as nationally.
Since opening in December 2010, SK's walls (and ceilings, and floors, and innards) have provided a platform for working contemporary artists exhibiting in diverse range, from photography to installation, painting to collage, digital media, and every combination in between.
A space for music, Survival Kit's studio and stage provide an intimate setting for audiences and musicians. SK supports bands and experimental acts on the local level, and has welcomed national acts such as Jonathan Richman, Lydia Lunch, Calvin Johnson, members of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Fugazi.
