Alterations
Works from Jessica Pinsky, Sarah Isenhart, and Beth Whalley
Curated by Alex Tapié

Alteration is different from creation. Or is it? These three artists make certain that repetition is not confused with mimicry through intensive layering of a combination of recycled and new material. Wood, thread, paper, recycled rags and canvases are all fair game as each artists whips up patterns and imagery as sparky and original as the source material. With clever exploration and nimble handwork rooted in fiber tradition, Sarah Isenhart, Jessica Pinsky, and Beth Whalley deliver thoughtful constructions.
